FAQs ON PRICE REVIEW IN LINE WITH THE NEW TAX LAW
At Telecel Ghana, our customers are at the heart of everything we do and considering the recent tax reductions, we remain resolute in our commitment to passing these benefits directly on to you. We have undertaken a comprehensive review of our portfolio to ensure that the legislative savings are reflected in our offerings. These changes will be visible to you in two primary ways: reduced Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) tariffs and increased allocations (more minutes or data) in our existing bundles.
- Why is Telecel Ghana reviewing its prices now?
Ans: Following the implementation of the new tax laws, the government has reduced specific tax burdens. We have reviewed our prices to ensure that these savings are passed on directly to our customers.
- How will these changes affect my daily usage?
Ans: You will now enjoy more minutes or data browsing on the same amount spent previously.
- When do these new rates and allocations take effect?
Ans: The adjustments are effective Friday, 9th January 2026.
- What percentage change should I expect?
Ans: You will observe a 1.3% drop in default rates and a 1.3% increase in allocation for voice, data and voice & data combo bundles without a change in price point.
- Why did the price of my bundle stay the same instead of dropping?
Ans: Telecel wants customers to feel the full benefit of the recent tax reduction. We believe the best way to pass these savings is by ensuring that at the same price point, you now receive more data and voice minutes than ever before.
- Which services are covered under the reduced PAYG tariff?
Ans: The reduction in rates applies to Telecel voice, data, IDD and SMS Pay-As-You-Go tariff.
- How can I see the new bundle allocations?
Ans: You can view the updated allocations by visiting the following subscription channels:

- Will my existing, active bundle be updated automatically?
Ans: Bundles already purchased will run their current course. However, any new bundle purchased from today onwards will reflect the new enhanced allocations.

Ans: You can reach out to our customer service team by calling 100, messaging us on WhatsApp via 050 100 0300 or through any of our digital channels. visiting any Telecel Retail Shop, or speaking to your Relationship or Account Manager.
- What about Postpaid customers?
Ans: The changes will reflect in the January 2026 bill from the effective date and the communication will be sent accordingly.
